What is HyperLink in Excel

Many times it happens that you are reading an article on the Internet and suddenly clicking on any word or sentence opens a separate page which has complete information about it. This type of link is called a hyperlink which is usually a URL.

In other word Hyperlink connects one place to another place or we can say that it connects one page to another page.

Some Example of Hyperlink in Excel

1. Inserting a Link to a Location in the Spreadsheet.
2. Inserting a Link to a Webpage.
3. Inserting a Link to Send an Email.
4. Inserting a Link to a Location on Your Computer or Server.

Inserting a Link to a Location in the Spreadsheet

• Select the cell in which you want to create your link. You can also create a shortcut to the link in any cell in your spreadsheet.
• Click on Insert Tab and go to Hyperlink, It will open a new window to create the link.
• After that, as you see in the pic below, four options or methods have been given to insert the link.

• Click the Place in This Document option in the left menu. This will allow you to link to any cell on your spreadsheet.
• Enter the cell you want to link.
• Change the displayed text (optional) then OK

How to remove link in MS Excel

• Select the cell link you want to remove.
• Go to Insert Tab >> Links blocks >> Hyperlink.
• After that click on Remove link then OK.

How to remove many link in one click

• Select all cells that contain hyperlinks, or press Ctrl+A to select all cells.
• Right-click, and then select the option Remove Hyperlinks at bottom.
